UPSI Operations Manager Colin Roberts gives a speech at the United Nations, New York on behalf of Amnesty International, during the Second Preparatory Conference of the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT). Known as a Pepcom, this event was designed to explore with member states in General Assembly the scope of the weapons to be included in the ATT. The ATT is designed to establish for the first time international agreement on controls of the arms trade, in particular the trade in small arms and light weapons.

Funding Success!

UPSI secures three grants from the Economic and Social Research Council. In one of these grants UPSI will be conducting work on "Community Networks and Mobilisation in Delivering Neighbourhood Security: Exploring Concepts of 'Horizontal' and 'Vertical' Co-Production." This research will help to develop thinking about how the big society agenda can be applied to community safety and policing.
